Trick or turkey? We dont even know anymore

So here's the thing--apparently when you're in the business of food and content creation, you don't actually get to live in the same holiday season as everyone else. Everyone out here talking about Halloween costumes and we're over here knee-deep in pumpkin pies and cranberry sauce for our Thanksgiving content. Like, can I at least eat a Reese's pumpkin before I have to start worrying about stuffing? Lord.

And poor Bailey, bless her. In true Bailey fashion she went full on - like HGTV level Halloween explosion in her house. Pumpkins, skulls, cobwebs, floating hats and candles from the ceiling, 5 ft tall creepy candle displays and a full size Michael Myers suspended from above the foyer. Totally over the top and absolutely perfect (if you're on that spectrum...) And then - because we needed to film - she had to rip it all back down. Imagine decking out your whole house like Norman Bates motel only to undecorate it before anyone even comes over to see it. We don't even know what month it is anymore. Its chaos.

Y'all, the filming...if you know me, you know I'm an extroverted introvert. Which means if we are friends, I have no filter, am comfortable talking about all the inappropriate things and am good for sending a text that will literally make you audibly laugh so you get exposed for not paying paying attention during your Monday meeting. But the idea of being around strangers, worse, having them watch me on a screen I really don't want to be on makes me want to hide under a table and suck Tito's out of my kids sippy cup. So if you know me, you already know I look awkward and uncomfortable, if you don't and I seem a little stiff or buttoned up...just now I'm internally screaming and wanting to hurl myself off a bridge. Promise I'm way more amusing and quick witted in real life, so just chill ok! I'm working on it!

And then there's Brian (yes, both our husbands are Brian, no we don't share one...weirdo.) Somehow he has become our pseudo "producer". As much as it pains me to admit it, he's actually pretty good at it. Ugh. I literally cringe at the thought of giving him props because the last thing I need is his ego inflating, but his AV skills are legit. That said, I do not appreciate being "directed", especially by my husband, because uh hello, I have authority issues and don't like being told what to do by anyone! But truthfully? We would be a hot mess without him....but lets just keep that between us!

Meanwhile, Bailey has been quietly planning our first pop-up market and absolutely crushing it. Her boss-bitch corporate experience is saving us because she actually understands scary backend words like "scalability" and "analytics" while I pretend those things don't exist and just sketch up board concepts and make up random recipes. She's the god damn Wolf of Wallstreet and I'm over here peace loving at Woodstock. She's Martha Stewart business mogul and I'm post jail Martha Stewart best friend of Snoop. Listen, I don't hate it. If it were up to me, we'd just wing it and hope for the best, so thankfully its not just up to me. We are different, but we pair well like cheese and wine! Teamwork makes the dream work. Did you cringe? Glorious!

So yea- it's been a wild ride already. We're filming Thanksgiving before Halloween, my personality is MIA on camera, Brian is suddenly Spielberg, and Bailey is over here trying to run the backend of Well Spread like she's frickin Jeff Bezos in jean shorts. But honestly? I think we're onto something great. And we're really glad you're here with us, because it's way more fun when we're all in this mess together.
